Whitco is seeking Sales Account Executives to join our Atlanta or Florida offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales customers
Identify market trends, maintains awareness of competitive activity in the roofing industry
Develop and maintain client relationships with a focus on customer service as a key priority for business referrals and repeat business

REPORT TO: VP of Estimating (VP of Operations currently serving this role)
DIRECT STAFF: None
OBJECTIVE/MISSION: Support sales efforts by producing accurate estimates of the construction costs of projects the company is pursuing before reasonable deadlines. Design appropriate roofing scopes of work for each project based on roofing knowledge, experience, specific field conditions and client expectations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quantify all costs (material, labor, equipment, any & all applicable taxes, permits, safety equipment / setup etc.) and create estimates using Edge software for roof replacements.
Obtain multiple competitive quotes in writing from vendors on material, equipment, subcontractors, dumpsters, etc. and save these quotes to the M Drive project folder.
Research and document permit costs and calculation formulas for all estimates.
Work with Production Division to quantify accurate costs for means and methods.
Based on experience, vendor quotes, roofing knowledge and past data, adjust each line of item of the estimate to conform to the specific project conditions.
Enter detailed Scenario Notes in the Edge to inform Account Executive of what has been included in the estimate.
Check WhitCommand information, photos, roof drawings and other data from Account Executives to ensure accuracy and completeness. Verify enough information is present to create scope of work for required repairs and/or roof replacements.
Thoroughly review and understand all construction documents (plans, specs and addenda) for projects you are estimating.
Meet with Account Executives before beginning each estimate to ascertain client needs, define the most cost effective scope of work to meet those needs and serve as a resource for technical and practical knowledge. Always offer value engineering opportunities and possible add options.
Update repair and estimate bid log spreadsheets on M Drive with information on projects you are estimating.
Work with VP of Estimating to manage bid calendar / schedule.
Present all estimates to VP of Estimating for cost and accuracy review.
Assist Account Executives in preparing hand-off package to present to Project Manager when a project is sold.
Attend hand-off meetings with Account Executive and Project Manager on sold projects you have estimated.

Project Manager

OBJECTIVE/MISSION: Manage the quality, safety, productivity and profitability of all phases of the construction process for all assigned projects, interfacing with all parties to ensure the highest standards are achieved. .
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all Production Division staff (Superintendents, subcontractors, production technicians, sheet metal technicians, etc) on assigned projects to insure efficiency and overall functionality.
Order all materials, forklifts, cranes, tools, equipment, dumpsters and portable toilets for all assigned projects. Obtain multiple vendor quotes to insure competitive pricing.
Issue and track PO numbers for purchases on all assigned projects.
Request sheet metal fabrication from Metal Shop Manager to insure timely fabrication.
Achieve project budget objectives for all assigned projects.
Negotiate and draft all subcontractor agreements on all assigned projects.
Place a copy of all project information in the specific M Drive project folder.
Send Production Manager weekly amounts to bill clients on all assigned projects.
Review all subcontractor performance and support their efforts as required. Review and ensure work has been completed in accordance with subcontractors’ billing requests. Send subcontractor billing request approvals and denials to Production Manager.
Attend hand-off meetings with Account Executive and Estimator for all assigned projects. Never start a project unless this meeting has been conducted. All hand off meetings will be conducted on or before Friday for projects sold the preceding Friday thru Thursday.
Communicate a tentative start date for each project to the client via e-mail (copy Account Executive, Production Manager, and VP of Operations) and phone call no later than 5 pm on Wednesday after hand-off meeting has occurred the previous week.
Generate description of additional scope of work, price and draft change orders (on assigned projects) when the scope of work deviates from the contract. Administer the change order process including obtaining written approval from client before proceeding with the work, filing / saving paperwork and digital files, and proper communication to all parties involved including client, Superintendent, Account Executive, metal shop / warehouse, and accounting.
Work with the Safety Director and Superintendents to insure safe, OSHA compliant job sites on all assigned projects.
Work with Superintendent to monitor daily weather conditions and cancel work as needed to prevent water damage to interior of building. Communicate this rain day cancellation to the client, Production Manager and VP of Operations.
Monitor and collect all job clock information and time sheets from Superintendents on assigned projects. Limit overtime hours whenever possible. Verify adherence to Lunch Break Policy for Hourly Employees and deduct hours if needed.
Provide daily job assignments to Superintendents on assigned projects.
Train and mentor Superintendents and other team members as needed.
Understand product specifications, project scope of work and proper installation procedures on all assigned projects.
Verify your Superintendents on all assigned projects enter all required project information into WhitCommand (FCS) each day.
Complete and send OPM reports to client, Superintendent, Account Executive, Production Manager, VP of Operations, and President / CEO on all assigned projects each day. Work with Account Executive to insure all client representatives who need to receive OPM reports are receiving them.
Obtain and track required permits for all assigned projects.
Coordinate required municipal / city inspections for all assigned projects.
Coordinate and process all manufacturers’ inspections and warranty documents for assigned projects.
Prepare submittal packages and submit to client for approval as needed for all assigned projects.
Inform the Production Manager, Account Executive, and Accounting Division via email when a project is done. “Done” is defined as when the client is satisfied and ready to accept the final invoice and make payment.
Maintain positive attitude and appropriate attire. Clean Whitco Roofing collared polo or dress shirt, and slacks (no jeans).
Personally attend and verify your Superintendents attend required training sessions and safety meetings.
Read Whitco Roofing Employment Manual and adhere to all its policies and procedures.

DIRECT STAFF: Metal Shop Technicians & Warehouse Assistants
OBJECTIVE/MISSION: Daily control and maintenance of metal shop. Coordinate, manage and control warehouse inventory, tools and equipment. Maintain fleet, tools and equipment in good working condition. Facilitate all aspects of building maintenance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all Metal Shop / Warehouse / Fleet staff (Metal Shop Technicians, Warehouse Assistants, and Mechanics) to ensure efficiency and overall functionality..
Order all sheet metal, warehouse and fleet materials, tools, and equipment. Obtain multiple vendor quotes to insure competitive pricing.
Issue and track PO numbers for all metal shop purchases which can be billed to a specific project.
Work with Project Managers to process sheet metal fabrication orders to insure timely fabrication.
Inform Project Managers via email when metal fabrication orders are complete for their projects.
Achieve sheet metal budget objectives for all projects.
Direct the fabrication of all metal as required and insure adherence to contract requirements. All metal dimensions and color must be field verified and approved by Project Manager assigned to project prior to fabrication.
Work with Project Managers to process all transactions for sheet metal and roofing materials shipped to warehouse and insure everything is charged to the correct project.
Insure all shop time is charged to the correct project each day
Maintain proper quantities of stock materials on hand as required.
Work with the Safety Director to insure safe, OSHA compliant metal shop and warehouse.

Maintain fleet to all state, local and DOT regulations and standards. Abide by all EPA regulations
Properly label, number and apply Whitco logos and lettering to all fleet vehicles and equipment.
Verify monthly that vehicle tags are current and that a copy of the registration and insurance card is in the vehicle.
Inspect and document all vehicle damage and repair as needed.
Facilitate tool and equipment control and accountability. Manage all tools checked out to Superintendents and hold employees accountable for returning tools in good condition.
Report tool, equipment and fleet abuse to VP of Operations.
Manage and maintain building systems and grounds including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, security system, cameras, landscaping, parking lot and furniture..
Assist with storage and distribution of employee uniforms.
Maintain shop and yard in a clean, organized, workable manner.
Maintain positive attitude and appropriate attire. Clean Whitco Roofing t-shirt, appropriate work boots, proper PPE, and jeans or work pants (no rips or tears and minimal tar and stains).
Personally attend and verify your staff attends required training sessions and safety meetings.
