I’m Grant Whitney, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Whitco Roofing, Inc. I started Whitco Roofing with the goal of treating clients as partners and exceeding their expectations of what to expect from a commercial roofing company. At Whitco, we pride ourselves on our service, our professionalism, and our commitment to our customers. I got my start in the roofing industry as a roof consultant. While designing roof assemblies and providing project oversight with large corporations, the federal government, and municipalities, I noticed that most contractors were trying to cut corners and lacked overall customer service, I witnessed contractors go in with low initial bids, only to take advantage of clients on the back end with change orders and a lack of enthusiasm or sense of obligation to ever see a project through as was expected from the client. On project after project, I realized the need for a more professional approach in roofing. When I decided to start Whitco, I knew that transparency, service and communication would be the cornerstone of our work. I wanted to create a roofing company that would partner with clients to educate them about options for their specific needs, get the job done successfully without having to be “baby sat” ensure they have a positive experience – while being completed within budget. After all, Whitco has been built on repeat business and referrals.
Whitco started as a small operation, but we’ve grown to be the largest Atlanta-based commercial roofing company and we now work throughout North America. Our growth has been organic, we’ve increased our team and expanded our capabilities over the years to meet the needs of our clients. This managed growth has been a big part of our success. We strive to be different, to provide unparalleled service, and to foster long-term relationships with our clients. These efforts have turned Whitco into something I am very proud of. I still work closely with the entire staff, and together we continue to build the brand I put my name on.
